Rotor delivers breakthrough IE5 Synchronous Reluctance Motor to EU sawmill customer
Rotor, has delivered its first IE5 Synchronous Reluctance Motor to a sawmill in the Europe. The new motor is expected to revolutionize the industrial sector by offering up to 50% energy efficiency and a 30% reduction in energy costs
The IE5 Synchronous Reluctance Motor, which is up to 50% more efficient than standard IE3 induction motors, is designed for continuous duty in industrial environments. The motor has a high power density, high torque density, and better cooling, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of industrial applications, including fans, pumps, and compressors.
Rotor’s MSR315MB4E5 motor was thoroughly tested and found to have an efficiency of over 97%. The optimized power density ratio is offering flexibility in design and installation.
The sawmill, which operates a woodworking machine, required a motor with controlled speed and reduced energy consumption. The IE5 Synchronous Reluctance Motor met these requirements and is expected to have a significant impact on the sawmill’s energy costs.
“We’re thrilled to deliver our breakthrough motor technology to our customer in the EU, The IE5 Synchronous Reluctance Motor is a game-changer for the industrial sector, and we’re excited to see the impact it will have on energy efficiency and cost savings.” said Daniel Lotter – Area Sales Manager from Rotor.
The IE5 Synchronous Reluctance Motor is set to become a leading solution for industrial applications where continuous duty is necessary, offering high efficiency, excellent performance at variable speeds, and avoiding rotor heating problems.
