IE3 motor

IE3 motor | Rotor
The three-phase asynchronous motor (or three-phase induction motor) is a squirrel-cage type motor, powered by a 3-phase AC voltage system. Motors are offered from IEC frame 63 up to 355. Frames 63 up to 90 have an aluminum frame as standard with cast iron end shields. Motors with frames 100 up to 355 have a cast iron frame construction.

Specifications

Technical information

Rotor NL® 6RN IE3 AC electric motors are designed and manufactured according to IEC 60034-30 and satisfy the requirement of the EC Regulation 2009/640/EC, (EU) 2019/1781/EC and 2014/4/EU on ecodesign requirements for energy-related products.
The motors are low voltage three-phase TEFC squirrel-cage motors with a standard IC411 cooling system.
Frame sizes 63-90 have a standard aluminum frame construction. All Rotor motors are fitted with SKF bearings. Motors in sizes 80-200 have closed bearings greased for life. Except for 63-90 frames, all motors have bearings fixed at NDE.
All IE3 motors are provided with plastic blind caps in all supply connections and are as standard IP55, prepared for drain holes and painted in color RAL 7030 semi-gloss.
Other voltages are supplied on request.

Energy efficiency and MEPS:

Beginning July 1st 2021, all electric motors between 0.75-1000 kW commissioned for land-based industrial applications within EU/EEA must be IE3 or higher. Rotor NL® motors are fully compliant with the Regulation.

Application information

Electric motors produced by Rotor are used in a wide range of industrial applications. Typical uses include:
